Purpose of Report: To consider applications to list The Winning Post and New Earswick Bowls Club as assets of community value under the Localism Act 2011.

The Cabinet Member is asked to decide whether The Winning Post and New Earswick Bowls Club should be added to the list of assets of community value.

The decision will be taken by the Cabinet Member at a public decision session on Thursday 20^th November.

Resolved:  (i)      That the Winning Post Public House,

Bishopthorpe Road be added onto the List of Community Assets.

                   (ii)      That the New Earswick and Indoor District Bowls

Club be added onto the List of Community Assets as per Option 1 in paragraph 9 of the report i.e. the whole site as identified in the application.

Reason:              To ensure the Council meets its legislative requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and promotes community access to community facilities.
