Purpose:
Purpose of Report: To seek approval of the
revised and updated Allocations Policy and Application Form, in
order to allocate pitches across the Council's three sites fairly
and consistently. The Cabinet Member is asked to approve the
updated draft policy and application form to be implemented
forthwith.
This decision will now be made during July as further clarification
is required.
Decision:
Resolved: That Option 1 be approved and the updated draft Allocations Policy and application form be implemented forthwith.
Reason: To ensure the council has an up to date policy and application form which reflects the new Traveller Pitch Agreement and meets the council’s requirements regarding equalities. Approval of this policy will enable the council to allocate the Osbaldwick site pitches to ensure the incoming residents have appropriate choice over the incoming facilities in the amenity blocks and a genuine investment in the success of the redevelopment.
