Purpose of Report: To advise the Cabinet Member of the consultation by the Department of Local Government on the review of property conditions in the private rented sector. Cabinet Member is asked to endorse the response prepared by officers.
Decision:
Resolved: That the response to the DCLG’s (Department for Communities and Local Government) consultation on the review of property conditions in the private rented sector, as detailed in option 1 (paragraph 7) of the report and attached as an annex to the report, be endorsed by the Cabinet Member.
Reason: So that the council can promote standards which support a healthy and well managed private rented sector.
