Purpose of Report: To incorporate management
discretion into the procedure which will make it more flexible.
This should allow customers in hardship to carry out exchanges
where previously there were barriers. The Cabinet Member is asked
to agree to the amendments to the procedure.
This report has been slipped to June to enable further discussion on the impact to take place.
Decision:
RESOLVED: That Option 1 – to amend the procedures as set out in Annex B be approved.
REASON: This can potentially allow more customers suffering
hardship to move alleviating poverty and contributing to better use of stock.
