Purpose:

Purpose of Report: To outline the objectives of the Strategy and detailed actions to be delivered by key partner organisations, to improve opportunities and outcomes for members of the Gypsy Roma and Traveller Community across the City.

Members are asked to approve the York Gypsy Roma and Traveller Strategy 2013 - 2018 and support its implementation across the City over the period.

This report has been deferred until June in order that further work can be undertaken.

Decision:

RESOLVED: That Cabinet agree the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Strategy and Action Plan for 2013 – 2018 as attached at Annex 1 of the report.

REASON: To improve outcomes for the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Community.
