Purpose:
Purpose of Report: To update the Executive Member on apprenticeship activity in York, including the impartial Apprenticeship Hub, the use of apprenticeships to support skills development within the council’s existing workforce and the council’s apprenticeship levy transfer process.
The Executive Member will be asked to note the update.

Resolved:
(i) That the contents of the report be noted.
(ii) That a 6-monthly update be received at a future Decision Session - Executive Member for Economy and Strategic Planning.
Reason: To continue to encourage the creation of apprenticeship opportunities in York, by supporting local businesses to access available funding and to support routes to employment for local residents.
