Following the Executive Decision in July 2019
authority to make the final decision on route 15 (currently part of
route 12) was delegated to the Assistant Director of Transport,
Highways and the Environment, in consultation with the Executive
Member for Transport.
A commercial service has been registered for route 15. However,
First York have undertaken to cancel service 3A, and the section of
service 12 which connects Bellhouse Way, Acomb Wood Drive and
Alness Drive with the city centre and Monks Cross, with effect from
29th September 2019.
In order to continue the operation of services 3A (York-Askham Bar)
and 12 (Alness Drive-Bellhouse Way) the council will fund until 1st
February 2020 and carry out a tender process to establish the long
term cost of operating the 12 service. Service 3A is part of the
park and ride contract.
Options Considered:
Option 1 - Approve the extension of the
services until 1st February 2020.
Option 2 - Reject the extension of the services as
outlined.

Option 2 was rejected.
