Purpose of Report: This report presents all the findings of the Task Group set up to undertake the Substance Misuse Scrutiny Review and provides information on the impact and potential outcomes of planned reductions, particularly in funding to alcohol services in York.

Executive are recommended to endorse the recommendations of the Health Housing and Adult Social Care Policy and Scrutiny Committee Task Group Review into Substance Misuse endorsed by the Committee on the 12 February.

Resolved:  That the findings of the Scrutiny Task Group be noted and that the recommendations from the review, as set out in paragraph 63 of the Task Group’s final report at Appendix 1 and paragraph 7 of the cover report, be approved.

Reason:     To conclude the Scrutiny Review in line with the council’s Scrutiny procedures and protocols.
