Decision:
To allocate two concessionary Days to
community organisations under the terms of the Barbican
Lease.
Background:
The report setting out the criteria for use of the concessionary
days is attached.
An application process was run inviting applications for the
remaining concessionary days in 2016 and 2017. By the closing date
of 27 November, 2015 five applications had been received. These
were considered against the criteria. Two were considered to have
fully met the Council’s criteria for the allocation of a
concessionary day:
• One in 2016 for “A Night to Remember” - a
community show aiming to raise awareness of dementia
• One in 2017 for “Rock Challenge” - a performing
arts initiative delivering a positive lifestyle message to young
people between 11-18 in school or college
It is proposed to run the next advertisement for Barbican
concessionary days in October / November 2016.
