Purpose:
Purpose of report: Provides information about the current position with regard to vacancies for Local Authority seats on governing bodies, lists current nominations for those vacancies and requests the appointment, or reappointment, of the listed nominees. The affect of making these appointments will be greater effectiveness and efficiency of school governing bodies in discharging their statutory duties. Effects will be seen immediately after appointment as nominees take up their governor roles.
The Cabinet Member is asked to: Confirm the appointment or reappointment of the listed nominees.
Decision:
RESOLVED:That the Cabinet Member appointed or re-appointed Authority Governors to fill vacant places as proposed in Annex 1 of the Officer’s report.
REASON: To ensure that the Local Authority places on School Governing Bodies continue to be effectively filled.
