Purpose:

Purpose of Report: To approve expenditure on 17 of the 26 capital maintenance schemes on the Capital Maintenance Programme 2020/21, at maintained schools across the City.  The schemes are a mixture of building, mechanical and electrical works.

Decision:

Resolved: That;

                             i.        The resources available in the Children, Education & Communities Capital Programme for maintenance and building work at schools be noted.

 

                            ii.        The 16 capital maintenance schemes between £100,000 and £500,000 be approved.

 

                          iii.        The approval of expenditure on individual schemes be delegated to Officer level.

 

Reason:     In order to maximise the programme of maintenance within the maintained school estate, dealing with the most urgent issues for 2020/21.
