Purpose of Report: To present the Stadium Naming Rights Sponsorship proposals for the new Community Stadium at Monks Cross for formal approval.
The Executive Member will be asked to note the contents and revenue implications of the agreement and consider a recommendation for approving the legal agreement as documented within the report.
The Council aims to give 28 days’ notice of non-key decisions as it does for key decisions however on this occasion that has not been possible. The reason for urgency is that approval to enter into the Stadium Naming Rights Sponsorship Agreement was required urgently to maintain wider project timescales and deliverables.
Resolved: That authorisation be given to the Acting Chief Executive & Corporate Director of Customer and Corporate Services to arrange execution of the Stadium Naming Rights Sponsorship Agreement.
Reason: To ensure continued progress with the Project, securing a named Sponsor for the Stadium and income to the Project revenue.
