Purpose:
Purpose of report: To inform Members of the outcome of the
Referendum and the necessary actions depending on the outcome of
the Referendum on the 2nd May 2019.
The report will recommend that Members note the outcome of the
Referendum on the 2nd May 2019 and depending on the outcome will
either recommend that Members formally ‘make’ the
Earswick Neighbourhood Plan and adopt it as Council policy or
reject the Plan.
This will be done in line with the Regulations following the
outcome of the referendum on 2nd May.
Decision:
Resolved: (i) That the results of the referendum be noted and that the Earswick Neighbourhood Plan be formally ‘made’.
Reason: To allow the Neighbourhood Plan to progress in line with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.
(ii) That the Decision Statement attached as Annex B be approved for publication in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).
Reason: To allow the Neighbourhood Plan to progress in line with neighbourhood planning legislation.
