Purpose:
Purpose of report: To enable the Executive Members
to review the formal enforcement action as well as the surveillance
activity undertaken in 2017-18 by:-
• Public Protection (Environmental Health, Trading Standards
and Licensing)
• Housing Services
• Community Safety
• National Trading Standards Regional Investigation and
National Trading Standards eCrime teams.
Members will be asked to provide oversight to the activity
undertaken in 2017-18, and fulfil the requirement for an annual
review under the Public Protection, Housing Services and Community
Safety enforcement policy as well as meeting the requirement of the
Office of Surveillance Commissioners for Member oversight of
surveillance activity.
Decision:
Resolved: That the report be approved.
Reason: To provide oversight to the activity undertaken in 2017-18, fulfil the requirement for an annual review under the Public Protection, Housing Services and Community Safety enforcement policy, and meet the requirement of the Office of Surveillance Commissioners for Member oversight of surveillance activity.
