Purpose:
Purpose of Report: To update the Executive Member with regards the
investigation into reducing the speed limit to 40mph on the rural
road between Earswick and Strensall.
The Executive Member will be asked to note the contents of the
report and make a decision as to whether the speed limit should be
reduced.
Decision:
Resolved: That the progression of Option 2
To reduce the speed limit to 40mph, creating a consistent speed limit from Earswick to Strensall
be approved, under condition of using an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order for its implementation.
Reason: To enable any objections to be reviewed and the impact of the speed limit changes to be understood and kept under review during the experimental period.
