Purpose:
Purpose of Report: This report, referred to the Executive by the Shareholder Committee which considered it on 20 March, proposes that the Council withdraw from its membership of Science City York in order that ownership of the company can be passed to Make it York.
The Executive will be asked to: accept the recommendation of the
Shareholder Committee that the Council withdraw from membership of
Science City York subject to Make it York having been admitted to
membership.
The decision date has been deferred from 27 April to 18 May 2017 in order to clarify the process.
Decision:
Resolved: That the Executive accept the recommendation of the Shareholder Committee to agree to the Council withdrawing from membership of Science City York.
Reason: To facilitate the residual Science City Funds transferring to Make It York.
