Purpose:

Purpose of Report: to ask the Executive Member to acknowledge the receipt of an e-Petition entitled 'Ownership of Property and Land in York Plans', which was submitted by the lead petitioner on 10 July 2016 and reported to Local Plan Working Group in December 2016 and to consider how it should be best dealt with by the Council.

The Executive Member is asked to consider the e-Petition submitted regarding the ownership of property and land in York plans and how it should be actioned.

Decision:

Resolved: That the content of the EPetition be noted and that the recommendation based on Option 1 be agreed-

To continue to publish the identity of landowners (but excluding individuals) through the Local Plan and Development Management processes, in accordance with its current practices, which are within the scope of the Data Protection Act and the Council’s Adopted Statement of Community Involvement.

Reason: To ensure that the Council does not breach the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
