Purpose:

Purpose of Report: Following a six month trial of revised cleansing schedules, in consultation with wards, this paper provides feedback on the trial period.

The Executive Member is asked to note the learning and agree next steps.

 

This item has been deferred to the Executive Member for Environment’s decision session on 8 May 2017 to allow time to complete the review process.

Resolved:

 

(i)           That the contents of the report be noted.

 

(ii)          That the standards of cleanliness being achieved, as a result of changes to the cleansing schedules and increased working with volunteers and ward committees, be noted.

 

(iii)        That all staff and volunteers involved in delivering the new street cleansing schedules across the city be thanked for their commitment and hard work.

 

Reason: To ensure that best use is made of the available resources for street cleansing activities.
