Decision details

Purpose of Report: This report will present Members with a number of options for items to be included, excluded or varied in the Park & Ride contract specification. The report will then inform the content of an Invitation to Tender which will be issued to potential Park & Ride suppliers shortly thereafter.

Members will be asked to ratify any material changes to the Park & Ride contract specification previously issued, prior to a competitive tendering exercise taking place.

Resolved:  That the Executive:

(i)           Approve Option 2 in the report, noting the increased flexibility that this gives to the Park & Ride operators; and

(ii)          Authorise Council officers to commence a new tendering exercise, at the earliest possible opportunity, to secure an operator for the York Park & Ride service from February 2018.

Reason:    To ensure continued operation of the York Park & Ride service and to ensure delivery of the most economically advantageous Park & Ride contract moving forwards.
