Purpose:

Purpose of Report: The Council is the owner of a number of companies. Under the companies' governance arrangements certain company decisions require Council approval.

The report proposes a division of responsibilities between the Shareholder Committee and Directors for those decisions and has been referred to the Executive Member by the Executive.

Decision:

Resolved: That the proposed division of decision making responsibilities between the Executive, the Shareholder Committee and officers, as set out in the annex to the report, be approved.

Reason: To ensure proper governance of Council companies.
