Purpose of Report: Provides details of the proposed voluntary private landlord accreditation scheme for York.

The Cabinet Member is asked to sign off the proposals and approve the introduction of the Scheme as detailed.

 

This report has been slipped to July is to allow the Cabinet Member to consider this item in a public Health, Housing & Adult Social Services Decision Session due to take place on 30July 2013.

 

Decision:

 

 

RESOLVED: That the implementation of the Landlord Accreditation Scheme as outlined in the report be approved and the Cabinet Member be advised of the final scheme details prior to launch.

 

REASON: To ensure the operation of an effective, fit for purpose accreditation scheme in order to support private rented sector in York.
