Purpose:

Purpose of Report: To outline the proposed protocol to the policy relating to the reduction and, where appropriate, enforcement to address problems with tethered horses.

Cabinet is asked to approve the protocol.

 

Consideration of this report has been deferred until April in order that a decision can be made at a full Cabinet meeting.

Decision:

RESOLVED:                That Cabinet agree the Protocol for the Management of Horses in York as set out at Annex 1 of the report.

REASON:                     To ensure that the Council has a robust, yet balanced approach to dealing with tethered horses.
