Purpose:
Purpose of report: To consider the petition
seeking the adoption of the snicket at Brackenhills, Poppleton, as
a public highway. If the recommendation and decision were to add
the snicket to the list of streets, this would be undertaken with
immediate effect, with the council accepting responsibility for its
maintenance. Members are asked to: Determine whether or not on the
basis of the information provided, that the snicket should be added
to the list of streets.
Decision:
RESOLVED: That the Executive Member approves Option A and authorises the addition of the snicket to the List of Streets Maintainable at Public Expense (LoS).
REASON: So that the alleyway can be added to the LoS with immediate effect and the surface of the path be maintained to a standard commensurate with its location, use and also to public expectation.
