Purpose:

Purpose of report: The above property was released for sale, the timing to be after the completion and establishment of the new replacement Business Centre at Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor. Parkside has now been marketed, with a closing date for offers of the 15th July. Officers have delegated Authority to accept the best bid for which Planning consent may be granted, and any sale will be subject to Planning Permission being obtained. It is possible that Community Groups may make a bid to purchase the property, and any such bids will need to be evaluated by Members if below market value.

Members are asked to: Decide whether to accept any bid for the Property to be sold which is below Market Value.

Decision:

RESOLVED: (i)         That the offer from HHB Investments Ltd to purchase the property for the figure stated in exempt Annex 3 (Bid C, proposal 2) be accepted, subject to planning consent, to proceeding with the design and planning application quickly, and to a deduction for any abnormal construction costs associated with the site.

 

                        (ii)        That, if the above sale does not proceed due to refusal of planning permission or for any other reason, approval be given to accept bids in the following order: Bid C (proposal 1), Bid B and Bid A, subject to any planning consent being obtained.

 

REASON:      To maximise the receipt for the site, in order to support the approved capital programme.
