Minutes:
Micklegate Ward Committee hosted an informal
surgery style on Scarcroft Green.
Residents were able to:
- Speak directly to their local
councillors and representatives from the Neighbourhood Management
Unit.
- Submit scheme proposals for the
2010/11 budget and contribute to the ward committee’s
consultation on cycling and play equipment in the ward. There was
also an informal ‘Have Your Say’ board which enabled
residents to leave comments for councillors and council
representatives.
- Taste and experience Roman cookery
and hairdressing.
- Speak to members of the local Safer
Neighbourhoods Team, see the Mobile Police Office and get cycles
tagged.
- Kids could have a go on an electric
car, visit the Urbie bus, win York City FC tickets in the penalty
shoot-out, take part in the Tai chi demonstration, and hook a duck
with Friends of Rowntree Park.
