Consultation process
The project proposals were passed through
external consultation between August – October 2025:
• Ward members were provided with details of the scheme
proposal prior to letters being distributed to all businesses
located within the Monks Cross and Vangarde shopping parks as well
as numerous properties along or off Jockey Lane.
• The businesses within the Monks Cross Shopping Park were
passed a copy of the consultation letter as part of a newsletter
issued by the customer service centre.
• Details of the proposed scheme were published on the
council’s website.
• Freestanding signs were erected on site during the
consultation period to advise passing motorists of the consultation
with a link to the webpage site.
• Details were also sent via email to statutory stakeholders /
consultees and road user groups.
