Group Reorganisation of Yorwaste and SJB Recycling
Purpose of report: The report seeks to provide CYC shareholder
approval to a group reorganisation within Yorwaste and SJB Recycling following the purchase
of Todd Waste Management Group (TWMG) by Yorwaste. It is necessary to integrate TWMG into
Yorwaste in order that the company
remains Teckal compliant.
The Executive Leader is recommended to provide shareholder approval to the arrangement whereby TWMG is incorporated into Yorwaste. He is also asked to approve the transfer of its Package Brokerage Company Toddpak into SJB Recycling.
The Council aims to give the same 28 days’ clear notice of non key decisions as it does for key decisions, but in exceptional circumstances this may not be possible. In this case, the item is being considered as an urgent matter as Yorwaste need to complete the integration of the companies at short notice in order to maintain Teckal compliance.
