Quality and Access for all Young Children - Allocation of Early Years Capital Grant

Purpose of report: This report recommends supporting some of the applications received in the fourth round of applications for this grant. All the work of the supported projects has to be completed by 31 March 2011. There is an on-going process of monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of the projects supported by this grant.

Members are asked to: Give approval for the recommendations.

Reason removed from Plan: Officers are closely monitoring the Early Years Quality and Access Scheme to ensure that it comes in as close as possible to the allocated budget. It is on track to do so, and any further adjustments that may be necessary are, on reflection, well within officers’ delegations, and within the remit already given at previous Executive Member Decision Sessions. No further decisions are required by the Executive Member at this stage.
