Speed restriction outside Moorlands Nature Reserve
We the undersigned petition the council to enforce a 20mph speed limit outside Moorlands Nature Reserve
Many families visit Moorlands Nature Reserve all year round and the number of cars parking outside has increased significantly since lockdown. The road is extremely narrow and when getting young children or elderly people out of cars the speeding traffic on the main road is a real danger. Many drivers use the road as a cut through from the A19 and do not alter their speed accordingly when they see the potential hazard of parked cars outside the nature reserve.
Having a 20mph restriction would give families peace of mind when visiting the nature reserve and make the whole road safer when there are a large number of parked cars.
