The meeting commenced at 19.20 hours when quorate.

23.07.01      Notices of the meeting, receipt of apologies and approving
                    reasons for absence

The notices of the meeting had been posted on the Parish notice board, web site and COYC web site.  The reasons for absence were approved.

23.07.02     To receive declarations of interest on any items on the Agenda

None.

23.07.03     To receive reports on Police matters

A  Monthly Report for June 2023 had been received.

B  Remote Meeting with Assistant Chief Constable – 12.7.23 – Feedback from the meeting had not been received to date.

23.07.04      Co-option to two Ordinary Vacancies

Two vacancies remained.

 23.07.05     To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 19 June, 2023

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

23.07.06     To consider any matters arising from the minutes of the previous
                   meeting

A  Commemoration of Royal events – The Lord Mayor of York had attended a short  ceremony in the area maintained by CAN, where the seat and plaques had been situated.

B  Attendance at River Foss events – Members had attended the event on Willow Bank and SB had taken part in the Anniversary Walk.

C  Minutes from the Haxby Group meeting held on 8.6.23 – These had been circulated.

D  Complaint from resident relating to delayed housing repairs – A programme of repairs had been issued by JRHT after long delays.

E  Complaint relating to parking during events at the Sports Club – Measures were to be put in place to improve the problems.  

23.07.07      To receive correspondence since the previous meeting other than
                    that circulated for information

14.6.23 - YLCA – D Day 80 Anniversary guide – Noted.

4.7.23 - YLCA – Carbon literacy training for local Councils – Noted – Considered expensive.

5.7.23 -YLCA – Notice of the Joint Annual Meeting 22.7.23 – Members would attend this meeting.

23.07.08      Planning consultations

A  23/00843/LBC – New Earswick Primary School, Hawthorn Terrace,
New Earswick YO32 4BY
Internal and external alterations including replacement of 2 no. external
door sets and the repair and redecoration including splice and installation of draft seals on 6 no. doors.

Members had no objections to this application.  Response B.

B  Street Record A 1237 York Outer Ring Road, A19 Roundabout up to and including Little Hopgrove Roundabout, York
Improvements to the A1237 York Outer Ring Road.

Members had previously responded to this application.  No further comments were to be made.

23.07.09     Attendance at York Bus Forum meeting 

CC had taken part in this meeting (20.6.23) and notes had been circulated.

 

23.07.10     Request from tenants for improvements to the frontage of the shops

SG was to raise this at the next meeting with JRHT.

23.07.11     Parking on the grassed areas on Willow Bank

YO had contacted JRHT with concerns about the vehicles being parked on the grassed area.  To be followed up if the problem continued.

23.07.12      Revised information on working from home allowances

Updated information had been received from YLCA and the Payroll provider.

RESOLVED That a working from home allowance based on the recommendation from the Payroll provider be accepted.

23.07.13      To approve the payments listed below

RESOLVED That the above payments be accepted.

23.07.14     Items for the next meeting

JRHT policy on alcohol sales in New Earswick.

Attendance at JRHT residents forum meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 19.50 hours.
