The Director of Customer and Communities
approves the use of 100k funding to support projects with a city
wide or multi ward impact contributing towards the delivery of city
priorities. This decision takes into account the recommendations of
a cross party member and officer grant review panel.

Background
A Ward Budget City Wide Fund of £100,000 was created
utilising existing ward budget allocation to support organisations
working across the whole city or in multiple ward areas. This fund
compliments the ward funding allocated at individual ward level and
offers the opportunity for groups and organisations working across
the city to apply once to a central fund rather than apply to
individual wards.
This decision covers all wards as application was open to groups
and organisations in all wards across the city.

Organisations were invited to submit bids which would:
• Support residents in York to lead their best lives
• Support healthier lifestyles and social inclusion
• Bring people together to strengthen connections and
relationships within communities.
• Deliver and connect people with the support that they
need.
• Support people and communities facing the greatest challenge
due to the cost-of-living crisis.
• Encourage financial and emotional resilience.
• Enhance the environment and encourage sustainable
practice.
