Micromobility Trial Update

Purpose of Report:  The report will update the Executive Member on the Department for Transport (DfT) micromobility (escooters and ebikes) trial. This will include the outcomes to date on the trial, an update on the Department for Transport position on the trials and will put forward some options in terms on how the trial will be taken forward when the current arrangement ends in the autumn.

The Executive Member will be asked to note progress of the trial to date and will be asked to consider options and approve an approach to be taken forward after the current trial ends in the autumn.

Consultation process

The current provider have developed an evidence base in terms of engagement with service users and the public. A formal process will be undertaken in terms of any changes to the TRO.
