The Good Place, Warm Place Grant aims to support community groups, enterprises, charities and hubs to continue or develop the support they offer to communities across York during the winter months 2025/26.

The criteria for eligibility for a Good Place, Warm Place grant is that the group must have:

• Have a presence in and benefit the local community
• Have a focus on supporting people
• Improve health and wellbeing outcomes
• Aim to reduce social isolation
• Support local people with the cost-of-living
• Offer an indoor warm place with seating and facilities for a minimum of 2
hours per week without requiring a purchase (this can be offered alongside
current groups/activities or an additional dedicated timeslot)

• Approve all of the spending recommendations.
• Decline all of the spending recommendations
• Approve in part the recommendations by wards
• Decline in part the recommendations by the wards
