Background / Decision Summary:

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule was adopted on 6 November 2025 with an implementation date of 01 February 2026.

This decision seeks to add a point of clarification to the CIL Charging Schedule regarding the following residential uses to be clear that they are £0 rated: sheltered, retirement and extra care accomodation. This is as per the proposed and agreed modifications to the CIL Charging Schedule through the CIL Examination in September-October 2025.

As per the Council decision, delegated authority is provided to the Director of City Development to authorise minor modifications to the CIL Charging Schedule as part of its implementation. Annex A presents the proposed update to include the clarification.
