Minutes:
Dringhouses and Woodthorpe ward committee
hosted an informal surgery style meeting at Moor Lane Youth
Centre. Resident were able to:
- Speak directly to their local
councillors, their Street Environment Officer, a representative
from the Waste Strategy team and their Neighbourhood Management
Officer.
- Speak to representatives from the
Safer Neighbourhood Team and give their opinion on what the police
priorities should be for the ward.
- Find out more about becoming a
special constable with North Yorkshire Police.
- Find out more about the plans for
Leeside Park.
- Speak to a representative from Group
Response, Community Rangers.
- Speak to a representative from the
council’s Trading Standards team and find out more about Cold
Calling zones.
- Find out more about joining the York
Credit Union.
- Find out more about the Local
Development Framework.
- Learn about Roman Cookery through a
demonstration by the Yorkshire Museum and taste some Roman style
food.
- Submit scheme proposals for the
2010/11 ward committee budget.
- Watch a ten minute performance of
song and dance from the local youth drama group, Rising Stars.
