Purpose:

Purpose of report: To seek the approval of the Cabinet Member for Crime and Community Safety for the programme of action for the next 12 months in relation to the enforcement of the Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1991 in relation to cigarettes/tobacco and the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 in relation to aerosol paint. The Cabinet Member is asked to adopt the suggested programme of enforcement action.

RESOLVED:       That the Cabinet Member notes the report and agrees Option 1 to adopt the programme of enforcement action for the next 12 months as set out at paragraph 4.

 

REASON:            So that the council can meet its obligations.
