Hull Road Ward Committee hosted an informal
surgery style meeting in Hull Road Park focused around the theme of
healthy living. Residents had the
opportunity to:
- Speak directly to their local
councillors and representatives from the Neighbourhood Management
Unit.
- Submit scheme suggestions for the
2010/11 budget and view copies of the minutes from the previous
meeting.
- Speak with the Safer Neighbourhoods
Team and Street Environment Officer, Angus Young.
- Contribute towards the ward
committee’s consultation on the Hull Road Park Fitness Trail
and to make scheme suggestions.
- View demonstrations and find out
more information about local societies and interest groups
including York LETS; York Health Walks; Tang Hall Library Reading
Group; Revellers Linedancing, Tai Chi Firedragon and The Energy
Efficiency Advice Centre.
- Talk to representatives from the
City of York Council’s City Strategy Team about the Local
Development Framework Core Strategy.
- Take part in a penalty shoot-out
competition with the local police team to win a pair of York City
FC tickets.
- Have a go on the Street Sports

There was also a ‘Have Your Say’
board present which gave residents the opportunity to raise issues
or ask questions.
