Purpose of Report: The report will ask the Cabinet Member to consider the recommended option in the report which is to improve the crossing point on Sim Balk Lane, Bishopthorpe. This will improve visibility and make it safer for school children and other members of the community to cross.

 

The Cabinet Member is asked to approve the recommended option in the report which is to improve the crossing point on Sim Balk Lane, Bishopthorpe.

Gave approval for the implementation of the proposed highway improvements detailed at Option 8 (Appendix B and illustrated at Annex C of the report).

 

Reason:              To improve conditions for pedestrians using the crossing point on Sim Balk Lane, in particular as part of the journey to and from school.
