Local Account for Adult Social Care 2012

Purpose of Report: The Local Account is public facing document which describes how Adult Social Care in has performed and outlines priorities and issues which require improvement.
The Local account is also an essential part of sector led per challenge and improvement since the removal of external assessment by CQC.
The stated intention of the document is to allow people who use our services and their carers to have the opportunity to judge our performance, and give them the chance to provide their views and to shape the future priorities and services in Adults Social

 Care.
The Cabinet Member is asked to note the performance and priorities contained within the local account and approve the content for wider publication.

Consultation process

The Local Account 2011 which has been online since January 2012 has requested feedback in terns of approach, content, priorities and areas for improvement.

An online survey requesting views about the content and format of the previous local account with a view to improvement of the 2012 version was sent out in September 2012.
