Purpose:

Purpose of Report: The report will describe the DfE’s reform of the school funding system which is being implemented from April 2013/14. It will also set out the proposed York Schools Funding Formula for 2013/14 compliant with the new regulations following consultation with schools and the York Education Partnership.
The Cabinet Member is asked to approve the new York Schools Funding Formula for 2013/14

Decision:

RESOLVED: (i)  The Cabinet Member considered and approved a report which presented a proposed new LMS Funding Formula for 2013/14 that conforms to the revised regulations introduced by the DfE under its reform of school funding arrangements.

 

(ii)  That the Cabinet Member approved some specific recommendations from the Local Authority about the de-delegation of a small number of services back to the LA, to enable them to continue to be managed under existing arrangements for 2013/14.

 

REASON:           To be both compliant with national regulations on allocations to school and reflective of the recommendations from York Education Partnership.
