Purpose:

A joint committee between North Yorkshire Council and City of York Council. Its purpose is to maintain a regular check and balance on the performance of the York and North Yorkshire Mayor.  The North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel covers the area served by North Yorkshire Police.

Membership:

The Panel comprises ten councillors and three independent members.  Substitutes are permitted.

Meetings:

North Yorkshire Council is the host local authority and provides administrative and other support to the Panel.  For minutes of meetings click here
