Outside body

Higher York is a partnership between the Higher and Further Education bodies in York and City of York Council. 

It comprises the Vice Chancellors and Principals of the University of York, York St John University, Askham Bryan College and York College.  The Executive Member for skills and senior council officers are invited to attend when appropriate.

It is not formally constituted, and provides a forum for developing joint approaches to higher and further education policy on matters such as employability, access, and social and economic impact.

The Chair is Karen Bryan, the Vice Chair of York St John University.
