disposal of the public toilet block and Lendal Tower store building
to a Helmsley Group company to build a restaurant on the site. The
scheme has been granted planning permission.

Consultation process
The legal documentation will be exchanged
within three months, however, completion will not occur until the
developer has located a tenant to operate the restaurant. The
developer will provide a new access from The Esplanade to the
Museum Gardens, new water and disposal facilities for the boaters
and the public will have the right to use a disabled persons toilet
in the new restaurant. The capital receipt will be ring-fenced for
a future project in the Museum Gardens.
