Home to School Transport Appeal To consider an appeal for assistance with home to school transport to Acomb Primary School for the Summer Term 2016. Additional documents:
Minutes: Members considered an appeal from parents regarding the Local Authority’s decision not to provide free home to school transport to Acomb Primary School for the Summer Term 2016.
The parents had forwarded their apologies for absence.
Resolved: That the appeal not be upheld.
Reason: There were now no exceptional circumstances in this case to deviate from normal policy.

Home to School Transport Appeal To consider an appeal for the continuation of home to school transport to St Oswald’s Primary School. Additional documents:
Minutes: Members considered an appeal from parents regarding the Local Authority’s decision not to provide free home to school transport to St Oswald’s Primary School on a permanent basis.
The parents were in attendance.
Resolved: (i) That the appeal not be upheld.
(ii) That the Local Authority be requested to explore the suggestions put forward by the Panel to assist the family, as detailed in the decision letter to the parent.
Reason: There were no exceptional circumstances in this case to deviate from normal policy.
