Description
Purpose:
An internal City of York Council body which provides a mechanism for members to monitor school performance in accordance with section 13A of the 1996 Education Act which requires local authorities to promote high standards, ensure fair access to opportunities for education and training, and fulfilment of potential through education and training in their area.
Meetings and reporting:
Meetings are scheduled on a half termly basis (six per year) and will have an identified focus (e.g. place planning, outcomes, and disadvantage).
