Description

Purpose:

 

Special Needs Activities and Play Provision for York (SNAPPY) is a registered charity.  Its purpose is to offer play and recreational opportunities to children and young people with disability.

SNAPPY run schemes and projects for Children,Young people, and young adults with wide ranging disabilities in all school holidays, weekends and some evenings. All schemes are run from Applefields School, Bad Bargain Lane, Burnholme, YO31 0LW.

 

SNAPPY also provides a satellite of a new Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at the Clifton Family Hub at the Clifton Children’s Centre.

 

Membership:

 

The City of York Council representatives are trustees.  Substitutes are permitted.

 

Meetings:

 

The Management Committee meets eight times a year, including an AGM.
