Consultation process
The City of York Council’s response to
this consultation will be made public as part of this process. The
responses to this consultation will allow Heslington Parish Council
to make any further amendments to the Neighbourhood Plan, prior to
submitting it to the City of York Council for formal examination by
an independent examiner. Once the Neighbourhood Plan is submitted,
the City of York Council will check it for conformity with its
statutory requirements and publish it for public consultation
(Submission Consultation), prior to its examination. Following the
examination and subject to a favourable Examiners Report, the
Neighbourhood Plan will then proceed to Referendum, where the
residents of the Heslington Parish will make a decision on whether
the Neighbourhood Plan will be adopted, to be part of the
development plan for York and be a material consideration in
determining planning applications in the Heslington
Parish.
