Update on Community Asset Transfer Affecting Community and Parks Assets

Purpose of Report: This report presents the responses received, following publication of the Notices, under Section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 for the disposal of council assets which are located within open spaces. Responses have been received in respect of properties at; 159 Mount Vale; 103 Heslington Road; Land at Mayfields South; Rowntree Park Tennis Pavilion & Land at Chapmans Pond.

The report makes recommendations in reply to those representations made and seeks a decision from the Executive on those recommendations.

The Executive will be asked to note the comments received, and continue with the disposal of the assets.

Decision due date for Executive changed from 15/09/22 to 21/09/2022.  Reason: City of York Council has now postponed all public meetings scheduled to take place during the national period of mourning for the demise of Her Majesty The Queen.

Decision due date for Executive will be changed from 21/09/2022.  Arrangements will be made for a meeting to be rescheduled as soon as possible.  Reason: Due to full statutory requirements not having been met for public notice of the meeting.
