Response to DfT Consultation 'Reforming Rail Franchising'
Purpose of report: The
report will provide details of the Authority's response to the
consultation document, due for submission on or before October
18th. This will then be considered by the Government alongside the
findings of the Rail value for Money study, to aid formulating the
model for the letting of future rail franchises. Conclusions are
expected to be published towards the end of 2010.
Members are asked to: Approve the detail of the Authority's
response.
