Petition to the Council to make representation to bus companies to consider improvements to their services in the South Bank/Bishopthorpe Road areas.
Purpose of report: The
report briefly outlines the background to bus services in the
Bishopthorpe Road area. Consideration is given to the measures
taken to protect, enhance and improve the bus services in the area.
The report outlines a number of options which might be considered
to further improve the bus service provision, all of which would
require addition resource.
Members are asked to: Acknowledge the contents of the report,
consider possible further action and support officers in their
efforts to retain and improve local bus services in and around
Bishopthorpe Road and South Bank.
